gilbert W. Bowman

Gilbert W. Bowman has extensive experience as a transactional lawyer in commercial and real estate matters. For over 20 years, he has represented clients in complex contract negotiation and drafting, including business and entity formation and governance documents; agreements for acquisition and sale; commercial loan agreements and commercial lending documentation; construction, subcontracting and supplier contracts; employment, confidentiality and non-compete agreements; joint venture agreements, including agreements for website development, hosting and event logistics; and software licensing and website development. His practice also involves all aspects, routine and complex, of commercial real estate purchase, sale, leasing and licensing transactions, from initial offer and contract negotiation through closing.

A native of New Jersey, he began his career in the Washington, D.C. office of Kirlin, Campbell & Keating, which was one of the oldest and largest firms in the country at that time. He worked for a senior partner on large commercial litigation matters. After leaving Kirlin, he returned to New Jersey where he worked at various firms, including his own. At first, he focused on commercial litigation almost exclusively, but subsequently transitioned his practice to business, commercial and real estate law. He has served as lead counsel on corporate, lending and real estate transactions with values ranging from $500,000 to $52,000,000.
